Welcome to Project Reboot. This website at projectreboot.school (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Project Reboot LLC (“Project Reboot,” “we,” “us”). These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Site, the free resources we offer through it, and anything you submit to us through it. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Anyone may read and browse the Site. Many of our visitors are students, and we welcome them. To submit a form, story, Side Quest, or other content, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to submit anything to us, and you confirm that you have it when you do. Forms intended for parents (such as the Youth Mentorship sign-up) must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
The Site describes our programs for schools, students, and parents, and offers free educational resources. The Site does not sell products or process payments. Our school programs, keynotes, and other paid services are provided under separate written agreements or proposals with each school or organization, and the pricing and terms in those documents govern those services. Nothing on the Site is an offer that becomes a binding contract until we have agreed to it in writing.
We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of the Site or the free resources at any time without notice.
The Site links to and embeds services that we do not operate, including the Clearspace app, our screen-time quiz and My Free Hours planner, Calendly for scheduling, Google Forms for some applications and sign-ups, and YouTube and Vimeo for video. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which apply when you use them. We are not responsible for third-party services, and a link does not mean we endorse everything on the linked site.
Students, parents, and educators can send us stories, Side Quests, questions, applications, and other content (“Submissions”). You keep ownership of your Submissions. By sending a Submission you give Project Reboot a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit for length or clarity, display, and share it in connection with our mission, including on the Site, in our programs and presentations, and on our social media channels, with credit to you by first name and school unless you ask us not to use your name.
Before we publish a story or video from anyone under 18, we will ask for permission from a parent or legal guardian. You can ask us at any time to take down something you submitted by emailing delaney@projectreboot.school, and we will remove it from the places we control within a reasonable time.
When you submit content you confirm that it is your own work or that you have the right to share it, that anyone who appears in it has agreed to be included, and that it does not contain anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit. We may decline to publish, or remove, any Submission for any reason.
Please do not use the Site to break the law, to send spam or automated submissions, to impersonate another person, to attempt to access systems or data that are not yours, or to interfere with the Site’s operation. We may block access for anyone who violates these Terms.
Our programs and resources are educational. They are not medical, psychological, or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact local emergency services or, in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
The Site and its contents, including text, graphics, logos, images, video, curriculum materials, and software, are owned by Project Reboot LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may use our free resources for personal, classroom, and non-commercial educational purposes with attribution to Project Reboot. Any other use, including selling, republishing, or creating derivative works, requires our written permission.
When you contact us or sign up for a resource, we will use the contact details you give us to respond and to follow up about that request. With your permission we may also email you about our programs and new resources, and you can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any such email or by writing to us. We will not send you text messages unless you have expressly agreed to receive them.
The Site and the free resources are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Reboot LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that its content is complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Project Reboot LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project Reboot LLC and its members, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by a third party that arise out of your Submissions or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date below shows when they were last changed. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to delaney@projectreboot.school or to the address below.
