Project Reboot LLC (“Project Reboot,” “we,” “us”) runs projectreboot.school (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose, because we collect very little.
Information you give us. The Site has no user accounts and no shopping cart. The personal information we collect is what you choose to type into a form:
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the Site running, and are kept for a limited time. When you send us a form, we also store your browser’s user-agent string with the submission to help us detect spam. The Site does not use advertising cookies and does not currently run third-party analytics or tracking scripts. Embedded video players (YouTube and Vimeo) may set their own cookies when you play a video; their privacy policies apply to that.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate the Site, and only so they can do that work for us:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of a student, our team, or others, or as part of a merger or sale of Project Reboot, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.
Stories, videos, and Side Quests that students send us may be published on the Site, used in our presentations, and shared on our social media channels, normally with the student’s first name and school. Before we publish anything from a student under 18, we ask for permission from a parent or guardian. Students and parents can ask us to remove a published submission at any time by emailing delaney@projectreboot.school.
Our programs serve students, and we take their privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Site from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. Forms that collect information about a student are either intended for a parent or guardian to complete, or require the student to be at least 13 and to have a parent’s permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without consent, please contact us and we will delete it. Information we receive about students through a school program is governed by our agreement with that school.
We keep inquiries and submissions for as long as we need them to work with you or your school and to maintain a record of our programs, and we delete or anonymize them when they are no longer needed or when you ask us to. Hosting logs are kept by our provider for a limited period and then discarded.
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can opt out of our emails at any time. Email delaney@projectreboot.school or write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you live in California, the rights above include those provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we confirm that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your information on the basis of your consent or our legitimate interest in responding to you, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection described in applicable law, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our Site and providers are located in the United States, so information you send us is processed in the United States.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to the Site and access controls on our systems and provider accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below shows when it was last changed, and if we make a material change we will post a notice on the Site.
Questions about privacy, or requests about your information, can be sent to delaney@projectreboot.school or to the address below.
